Spring. Nature
reawakens and renews itself from what seems an almost endless hiatus.
Suddenly everything is brighter - grass becomes greener, blue skies
are bluer, flowers and foliage vividly reappear. It's as if we're
seeing everything for the very first time.
Now, this spring,
your eyes can experience their own unique reawakening and renewal
with RéVive's Masques des Yeux, an innovative new formula
that gently stimulates the eye area for a dramatically brighter
appearance. A cooling, soothing, protective eye masque for all skin
types, Masques des Yeux is formulated with healthy Probiotics, nature's
method of providing natural and necessary growth factors that stimulate
cell renewal, reverse signs of aging, and increase cellular respiration
and metabolism that become sluggish with age. This hypoallergenic
masque also contains Hyaluronic Filling Spheres, a resorbable ingredient
that enters the skin in a dehydrated state to fill in deep lines
and wrinkles as it captures the water that evaporates from the skin,
while increasing long-term hydration.
And talk about
renewal
upon application you'll see a dramatically smoother,
brighter eye area within one-half hour. Masques des Yeux is a treatment,
not a typical daily eye cream, that should be applied once or twice
a week only, and is recommended for evening use prior to bedtime.
Apply liberally on freshly cleansed skin to the lower and corner
eye perimeter only (not for use on upper lid) and Masques des Yeux
will be naturally absorbed into the skin as you sleep. Then awaken
to a world where it's always spring, where everything will appear
much brighter, including your eyes.
It's as if you're seeing everything for the very first time.

Gift of Beauty as Art |

November
2007
RéVive
to me is an art form, not merely a cosmetic.
And while I
have been blessed with the great fortune of making beauty the central
focus of my career, it has also been an integral part of my personal
life as an art collector. I firmly believe that the natural synergy
between art and beauty is quite profound. It is this philosophy
that was the inspiration for a very special creation we present
to you this holiday season.
The 2007 Limited-Edition
Artbox is the ultimate expression of beauty, art and science within
a keepsake box, created by internationally renowned artist Ann Craven.
The evergreen beauty of nature as illustrated on the outside of
the box beckons the discovery of ageless beauty treasures inside
- Moisturizing Renewal Cream, Sensitif Cellular Repair Cream, Eye
Renewal Cream, and Serum Prôtectif - four luxurious core products
that represent the foundation of the RéVive skincare collection,
all at a very special price. As part of a daily beauty regimen,
the four products, packaged together for the first time, will allow
both long-time clients and first-time customers the opportunity
to experience the patented skincare system that works on a molecular
level, producing glowing, beautiful skin.
The Artbox is
created for those who admire the beauty and uniqueness of contemporary
art, as well as the allure of science and beauty found in the RéVive
collection. Ms. Craven's oil on canvas work as reproduced on this
year's Artbox, 'Deer in Emerald Field, 2007', celebrates the triumph
of nature in the ever-changing 21st Century environment. The gentle
beauty of the fawn and flora with its vivid palette evokes the pastoral
simplicity of days gone by, yet remains thoroughly modern in feel.
RéVive's
2007 Limited-Edition Artbox premiers this month here at www.reviveskincare.com
as well as at Barneys New York, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus,
Saks Fifth Avenue, and select luxury boutiques nationwide and abroad.
Have a joyous
holiday.

| Introducing
Intensité Fluide Superbe, The Ruling Antidote For Dry
Skin |
|
|
August
2007
You
spoke and we listened.
In our ongoing
pursuit to perfect and provide the most innovative and results-producing
skincare needs for you, our clients and customers, I am thrilled
to announce the newest addition to the RéVive skincare collection,
Intensité Fluide Superbe, premiering this September.
Since the launch
of RéVive many of you have expressed your desire and need
for a product that can successfully conquer severely dry skin. And
during my years as a practicing physician I repeatedly heard from
patients that they were convinced no dry skin treatment or product
would ever effectively work. With Intensité Fluide Superbe
I can now address those needs and assist the legions of you battling
relentlessly dry skin.
Intensité
Fluide Superbe is a serum like no other. Applying hard science and
a light, silky touch to reverse dry skin, the secret to its transformative
powers lies within the cutting-edge technological liposome delivery
system that captures and retains moisture. These particles significantly
contribute to enhanced absorption of age-defying ingredients including
EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor), RéVives proprietary
patented cell regenerating solution, also found in many of our other
products. It will leave your skin supple, even-toned, hydrated and
soothed.
In closing I
want to acknowledge a very important milestone as 2007 marks the
tenth anniversary of RéVive. While it is hard for me to believe
that a decade has passed since we introduced our first product,
Moisturizing Renewal Cream, it is also with tremendous pride and
a wonderful sense of achievement to know that we have successfully
built and sustained a formative skincare business unlike any other.
Most importantly, however, none of this could have been possible
without you, my loyal friends and clients, who so lovingly embraced
and supported RéVive, as you continue to do so. I sincerely
thank you all.

| Recruiting
Youth with Peau Magnifique |
|
|
It is with great excitement and gratitude I write you, my friends
and clients.
Peau Magnifique has been many years in the making, and once again,
is an example of RéVive raising the scientific bar of life-changing
skin care.
We’re all born with a cache of stem cells in our skin. They collectively
act as a reserve in case injury. If an injury occurs, the stem cells
differentiate into adult, newly-minted skin cells. This is God’s
evolutionary protective reserve mechanism.
Many cosmetic, rejuvenating procedures take advantage of this
process, e.g., lasers, peels and dermabrasion all cause trauma to
the skin; thereby, sending signals to these resting stem cells to
convert to new skin cells which is one of the reasons these procedures
produce their youthful results. Peau Magnifique capitalizes on this
process without the trauma and all of the potential complications
that can arise from these quasi-surgical procedures, such as scarring,
infection, pigmentation, etc.
Peau Magnifique contains telomerase which biochemically binds
to stem cells and signals them to differentiate into adult, newly-minted
skin cells without trauma. It is like getting an injection of youth.
That is why I coined the phrase Peau Magnifique, Youth Recruit.
Thank you for your continued support and loyalty to RéVive.

Can Be Deceiving |

Adversity
is often a Gift in life, a true opportunity for growth. Whether
you believe in Yaweh, Jesus, Mohammad, Buddha, Lord of the Universe
or simply a Higher Power, we often have to call on It for support
and growth. As W.H. Auden ( a vowed agnostic) said, there are NO
atheists in the foxhole....and...there is definite truth in that.
If we're human -- and most likely you wouldn't be reading this if
you weren't -- we have adversity. How we deal with that adversity
is what makes us attractive to others; and ultimately, to ourselves.
We can spend tens of thousands of dollars on aesthetic surgery and
l00's on bogus topical medicaments and still not achieve the beauty
that comes with handling a difficult situation with humility and
dignity.
Speaking from experience, I can attest to the portion about feeling
good about oneself after a difficult situation. As a surgeon, I
had to accept rheumatoid arthritis in my hands and subsequently
retire...in addition, an addiction to prescription pain medication
aimed at relieving the painful arthritis was also the result. Having
come through the black tunnel of addiction -- by way of Promises,
Malibu (a truly inspired and blessed rehabilitation haven) -- to
the white light of recovery on the other side, I can honestly say,
there is no greater beauty than that.
I certainly do not discount aesthetic surgery, it can certainly
improve the quality of life as well as appropriate skin care, such
as RéVive; however, as my new book "About Face; A Surgeon's
Non-Surgical Approach to Beauty" all things in moderation and
in perspective. Without that inner sense of 'self' and dignity,
all the scalpels and topicals in the world will not result in a
beautiful you.

| Growth
Factors: Cures to Cosmetics |
|
The
advent of biotechnology 25 years ago unleashed a juggernaut of potential
change and redirection within the beauty industry; only now are these
changes starting to be realized.
Human proteins -- the workhorses and structural standard bearers of
the human body -- can now be synthetically manufactured due to breakthrough
science -- become tattered, sluggish and encumbered with sugars after
years of aging. Imagine trying to pull a glass rod across a wool carpet
(youth); then attempt to pull that same glass rod, now sheathed in
Velcro, across the same carpet (aging). This is a good analogy of
what happens to our workhorse proteins with aging. By introducing
brand-spanking new functional proteins to aging skin they are more
capable of carrying out their specific duties at the breakneck speed
and efficiency of youth.
This is the basis and rationale for including bioengineered growth
factors in your skincare regimen. These bioengineered growth factors
by virtue of their sleek, youthful structure can now perform their
functions similar to when aging was only a distant reality in our
minds (i.e. our 20's). As more and more novel and functionally important
proteins are discovered, along with improved delivery systems; aesthetic
surgery as we know it will become less and less a right of passage
as we cross to our mature years.
Having practiced aesthetic surgery for 20 years I understand completely
the improvements, risks and limitations offered by surgery. Surgery
cannot recreate youth -- biotechnology in the beauty industry potentially
and practically can. Hence, my unwavering passion and enthusiasm for
pushing the envelope with RéVive and its future product pipeline.
Try RéVive and say good-bye to scalpels, bruises and stereotypical
surgerized faces. |

| The
Oft' Missed Subtleties of Facial Beauty |
|
Western
minds, especially Americans, often fixate on wrinkles and droops or
sags -- the obvious signs of aging -- when seeking anti-aging expertise,
no matter what the discipline, ie, dermatologist, plastic surgeon,
aesthetician..etc..-- I truly believe there is something vitally lost
in that myopic focus as the barometer of facial aging.
We frequently miss the significant subtleties that significantly belie
age -- loss of facial volume, loss of skin homogeneity and vitality.
It is one thing to have sags and wrinkles; however, if the skin overlying
these tell-tale stigmata is beautiful, robust and voluminous -- the
oft' encountered phrase when meeting an old acquaintance is "you
look great" and after all, that very statement is the whole point
of the entire process (plastic surgery, aesthetic dermatologists,
aestheticians..etc)
Most people do not realize that the actual volume, ie, space occupied,
of the face decreases with age, hence sags. It is equivalent to letting
air out of a balloon. So much of aesthetic skin care is dermatologist
driven whose perspective is primarily surface or 2 dimensional; whereas,
we aesthetic surgeons think in terms of 3 dimensions or the entire
face, NOT just the surface. Therefore, one of the most important aspects
of skin care is to re-establish the lost facial volume. That is why
I searched for ingredients which address these issues and found IGF.
Insulin-like growth factor when applied to the skin over time will
incite the epidermis to 'speak' to the dermis and underlying tissues
to bring about re-volumization. Therefore, after a steady course of
Intensité (our IGF and KGF containing facial moisturizer) despite
some persistent sags & wrinkles, but with glowing, succulent skin
overlying these well-earned badges of aging; the quip, "you look
great" takes on a whole new meaning without ever having submitted
to the scalpel.
Another tiny step in the direction of reversing the signs of aging
without surgery. There's LOTS more to come! |
