Q. What is EGF and how does it work?

A. EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor) is a naturally occurring molecule in our bodies that dramatically increases skin cell regeneration and whose important discovery warranted a 1986 Nobel Prize. As we age, our skin becomes sluggish and cell turnover decreases over 50%. RéVive’s bioengineered form of EGF stimulates old skin cells to revert to a youthful, renewal pattern significantly improving overall skin quality. EGF is truly an organic protein. One reason for the overwhelming success is that, unlike other anti-aging ingredients, EGF causes no irritation and is immediately recognized when applied because it already exists in our bodies. RéVive holds the exclusive patent for EGF.

Q. What makes Revive Growth Factor different than other lines?

A. Revive Skincare uses bioengineered Growth Factor versus plant or animal. Growth Factors do not cross species. Revive holds the patent on Human Epidermal Growth in cosmetics under United State Patent #5,618,544.

Q. How is Human Epidermal Growth obtained for use in Revive Skincare products?

A. The Human Epidermal Growth factor used in Revive comes from bioengineered manufactured protein using recombinant DNA technology.

Q. What is the difference between growth factor and growth hormone?

A. Human growth hormone is a single protein released by the pituitary gland, and it stimulates growth of musculoskeletal tissue. This is the hormone that is absent or greatly diminished in cases of dwarfism. Growth factors are human proteins that influence DNA and stimulate the proliferation of cells and protein synthesis. They are produced locally throughout the body, and not by the pituitary gland.

Q. How do I use RéVive with Retin A?

A. Without a doubt, use Sensitif Cellular Repair Cream during the day to counteract the redness and irritation caused by Retin A. Sensitif has healing principles and was created to be gentle enough for the most fragile skin. With twice the amount of EGF than other RéVive products and SPF 15, Sensitif is the perfect balance to the harsh side effects of Retin A.
Retin A works by keeping your skin in a constant state of irritation which can be harmful if you don’t give your skin a break. A lot of RéVive users solve this problem by alternating Retin A, every other night, with Moisturizing Renewal Cream.

Q. Why are there so many different moisturizers in the RéVive line?

A. The aging process is multi-factoral and must be attacked on several different levels.
Dr. Brown has strived to create multiple products that can address all skin concerns. Because no two people are alike, the RéVive skincare system is designed to be flexible so an appropriate regime can be combined specific to your individual needs.
If you are concerned with wrinkles and imperfect tone, Sensitif and Moisturizing Renewal Cream increase cell turnover.
If you are concerned with volume loss, sagging skin, broken capillaries, and rosacea: Intensité products increase collagen and elastin levels and plump the skin.

Q. Can I use RéVive with other products?

A. Certainly. RéVive is created as a stand-alone system or can be used in conjunction with other cosmetics (i.e. Retin A). Talk to your sales associate or send us an email and we will be happy to explore options perfect for your needs.

Q. If I buy one RéVive product, which one should I get?

A. Moisturizing Renewal Cream. Renewal Cream was the very first product that Dr. Brown created for a speedy, youthful turnaround. It has glycolic acid (an organic exfoliant) to shed dead skin cells enabling youthful cells to rise to the surface - retexturizing skin and perfecting all imperfections. EGF benefits are amplified because of acid base that the glycolic provides giving you quick results (often in just one week!) and the trademark RéVive glow on your cheekbones and temples.

Q. I am 54 years old and have taken great care of my skin. I use Sensitif religiously which has kept my skin looking at least 15 years younger, but now I am starting to sag. What can I do?

A. That’s easy…Intensité! Intensité is the newest division of RéVive designed specifically for this problem – Volume loss. Sagging skin is directly associated with the loss of volume resulting in frown and puppet lines. Volume loss is subtle over time but drastic if you compare a photo of the same person when they were 18 and 65. Intensité Crème Lustre is a hydrating, facial moisturizer that blocks the loss of collagen and increases production with IGF. MPI re-juices skin recreating the plump look of youth. Intensité Volumizing Serum with KGF augments the loss of facial volume in trouble areas with a noticeable improvement after several weeks. KGF slows the aging process by turning over dying skin cells 8 times faster!

Q. I am 28 years old. Should I be concerned with anti-aging? Is RéVive too active for my skin?

You are smart to start thinking about anti-aging earlier better than later...there is a lot to be said about preventative measures. We always say at RéVive that you will know when you need to start a serious skincare regime. What we mean by that is when a person starts reaching their late 20’s, your skin begins to go through changes like tiny “hairline” wrinkles around the eyes. You will have a far better result if you start using a RéVive program when signs of aging are just beginning. Serum Prôtectif , Eye Renewal and Lip Cream are great for all skin types as young as mid 20’s. Moisturizing Renewal Cream is the perfect, effortless addition in your late 20’s to maintain your succulent skin of youth.

Q. I’ve always heard that Vitamin C products lose their potency before they can be beneficial?

A. In general, this is correct. Vitamin C is a very unstable molecule and immediately loses up to 85% of its potency once air and water molecules penetrate. RéVive laboratories spent years creating a fool-proof formulation called Arrête (which is French for ‘Stop’). RéVive has invented a protective silicone force-field that keeps Vitamin C stable and alive for up to 12 hours while you sleep. You’ll see noticeable improvement in ten days as this super-booster repairs premature dark spots and damaged skin.

Q. Do I really need a separate cream for my neck?

A. Neck and chest skin is far more delicate than face skin and needs very special care. The neck is one of the first areas to show signs of aging, simply put, because of gravity. Regardless of cup size, your breasts are constantly pulling on your neck and décolletage resulting in a crinkled tissue paper look that surgery can’t even repair. Neck skin doesn’t have the same level of elasticity as the face and heals poorly when cut. RéVive’s Fermitif Neck Renewal Cream has special firming agents and EGF to prevent sagging and smoothes away the crèpiness. Skin is also protected from sun damage with a non-irritating SPF 15.

Q. When should I see results from using RéVive?

A. Normal skin will start showing subtle changes in the first week to ten days (i.e. softer and slight glow on the cheeks) with the full “RéVive glow” in approximately four to six weeks. If your skin is damaged or you’re not using skincare before you start RéVive, you will have noticeable improvements even faster. Be patient, the end result is worth the not-so-long wait!

Q. Do I have to always use RéVive or can I stop once my skin has improved?

A. You need to use RéVive skincare daily, as recommended, in order to maintain the awesome benefits. Like taking a vitamin, RéVive works as long as you use it.

Q. I am curious about Serum Prôtectif. Does it really make that much of a difference?

A. Serum Prôtectif is an important addition to any RéVive regime and works for all skin types. While RéVive moisturizers fight against chronological aging, Serum Prôtectif blocks the effects of environmental aging with SOD. SOD (Superoxide Dismutase) is the most powerful antioxidant known that neutralizes 99% of the free radicals (like secondhand smoke) that age and pollute the skin. SOD is found in our white blood cells, which eliminate invading toxins in the body – so you can imagine how potent it is on our skin. The end result is a flawless, even complexion. Prôtectif also impedes breakouts.

Q. Why do I need to continue using Moisturizing Renewal Cream and Sensitif with my Intensite Crème Lustre?

A. You never want to stop using your products with EGF, remember that EGF and IGF are addressing two different concerns. EGF is accelerating cell turnover. Alternate Moisturizing Renewal Cream with Crème Lustre In the evening or if you are experiencing excessive dryness during the day, apply Intensite during the day and apply Sensitif on top. You will benefit by both the SPF 15 and the high concentration of the EGF in the Sensitif. During the day.
